COMO DOCKS is a facility aimed at operating General Warehouses for national, nationalized and Non-EU foreign goods, Customs Bonded warehouses for temporary storage, including tax, excise and VAT warehouses, Type I public customs warehouses for third party goods.
The slogan "COMO – GATEWAY OF EUROPE" was coined in the 1980s by Como Docks and by operators in the transport sector so that the importance of the role of the Como border area could be spread to public opinion and local administrator area of destination and transit of European traffic. The strategic international position and the historical vocation have made the Como area one of the most important crossroads of international traffic between the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
In recent decades, the COMO DOCKS logistics platform has increasingly assumed a public utility function by collaborating with the institutions and authorities for the management of Como's viability.

The area of about 120.000 square meters welcomes approximately 1.000 heavy vehicles daily, offering all types of customs clearance for goods transported by trucks, containers and other means of road transport. Excise duties, domestic, EU and Non-EU foreign goods storage, Bonded warehousing, as well as parking lots and restaurant.
CENTRO TIR and LARIO TIR are located in Montano Lucino (Como) within easy reach of the A9 motorway exit Como Centro.

LARIO TIR
Lario Tir is our area for daytime and night parking of trucks from all over Italy and Europe. The area is equipped with restrooms, showers, toilets, a coin-operated laundrette, as well as a restaurant.
LARIO TIR has a 24 hour-CCTV video surveillance, with entry and exit number plates recognition, guarantees maximum safety for transporters.
The LARIO TIR logistics platform is linked to the CENTRO TIR and is managed in collaboration with the Italian Traffic Police Force to arrange suitable and safe parking for heavy vehicles and prevent road/motorway congestions during public holidays and on weekdays when the commercial Swiss border is closed (from 10pm to 5am).
